Job Title: Framers
Framers construct, erect, install and repair wooden structures related to the shell of a house. |
Duties: Interpret drawings and sketches to determine specifications. Measure, cut, shape and assemble wood to build foundations, floor beams walls and roof systems. Use basic carpentry tools and operate standard carpentry machines such a compressors, nail guns and circular saws.

Pre-Requisites: Verifiable training or experience as a framer. Minimum five (5) years experience in a construction environment.

Wages & Benefits |

Wages: $20 +. Variations depend on skills and experience. Annual income is approximately $50,000 to $60,000. Average 40 working hours per week. (Weekly hours may vary depending on climate, unions, and preparation of job sites) |
Hospital and Medical Care Insurance: OHIP (after 3 months of starting work). |
Others:
Spouses may apply for a work permit which is ‘open’ and will allow them to accept any job depending on whether or not a medical exam was taken. (except Construction Laborers’ spouses)
Temporary foreign workers are eligible for the same benefits and rights as Ontario workers.
Transportation to the work place will be provided by the employer.
